Our Current Show!

Stage One 2000 Musical Youth Theatre are thrilled to announce that we have JUST begun rehearsals for our new and splendiferous show:

THE LITTLE MERMAID

Based on Disney's blockbuster animated film, this is the enchanting story of Ariel, King Triton's youngest, headstrong daughter, a mermaid who wants to be human so that she can be with her one true love, Prince Eric. Against the advice of her friends, Flounder the fish, Sebastian the crab and Scuttle the seagull, Ariel is tempted by the wicked words of the the devious sea witch, Ursula, who offers the little mermaid human legs in exchange for her lovely voice. But the course of love never runs smoothly, and while Ariel and her friends combine their skills to help Eric fall in love, Ursula has darker plans....

Filled with wonderful songs by Disney dream-team Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, this is surely one of the most loved and delightful musicals enchanting theatre audiences today. We know this will be a triumphant year filled with joy and laughter, song and dance, and we invite you all along on our journey!

"In this bubbling modern extravaganza for the young, the immaculate Miss Nadia Naive and her three pupils are swung into riotous Transylvanian happenings with the irrepressible Count and his acolytes.  On the side of right are noble Nick Necrophiliac, Father O'Stake, the cuddly Hansel and Gretel and their Fuddled Friends; can they prevail over the forces of darkness - when these include the creme de la horrible creme such as the Countess Wraith, Genghis the grovelling minion, the Zombies, the Fanged Brides and the dynamic, sanguineous gentleman, the Prince of Vampires himself?
A wealth of good parts, a sizzling score and a fresh hilarious script make this an attractive enterprise for a young company"

In our production, we've elected to change the name of 'Nick Necrophiliac' to 'Nick Nicely', as we have some very young members and audience members - we don't don't want to offend!!

The script for 'The Dracula Spectacula' - always on hand during costume making!
